Default Installed type F Ford fluid with good results

I was having a slow shift with pretty bad slippage on my 2-3 shift. I installed 6 1/2 quarts of Ford type F fluid and now that 2-3 is perfect.

I don't know what effect on longivity this will have on my tranny but with the slippage it was having that had to be worse than what the fluid could do.

Thanks to Brooke A. and Patrick G. for the tip!

Good to hear that it is still an effective "hotrod" trick. In the past, I've used Type F in T350s with good results also.

Not the best idea for long term durability.... but an EXCELLENT way to get a few more miles out of a tired tranny.

Good to see you posting LArry!
