Default Broken Sprag?
I was at the track this weekend and the 10 bolt took a crap. With the 10 bolt breaking could that cause the sprag to break as well? Tranny was working perfect until the rearend broke. Now it seems to only move in 1 and reverse.

Yes sir! That is what happened to our first 4L60E. The shock of the rearend breaking is too much for the 4L60E stock internals. Having both go out at the same time is pretty common actually.

I concur. I have seen this happen many times. However the low roller is what usually locks up and this is why you have first gear only. I would have your trans gone through and make sure to have the converter sent out as well. Make sure to let both parties know what happened. That's racing! Vince

I too have seen it a few times rear breaks trans breaks, Low sprag. Input sprag,Rear planet I have seen each if these break wth a rear end failure.

Just like those guys said, we see alot of the same failure. Not uncommon, but it sucks either way.

same here,had it happen 4 years ago,rear & planet & sprag.What a chain reaction.

Yeah it sucks I just had the tranny rebuilt less than a month ago. Oh well the 10 bolt has been replaced with a 12 bolt so hopefully I won't have to deal with this crap again.
