Default 4l65E

Is a 4L65E a good replacement for the 4L60E? Can I use the same converter I just bought or would I have to replace it? I have a 2002 Z28 A4 with all bolt ons, free mods, tuned, stalled and every now and then the 4-gear seems to slip while driving around 60+ mph. The RPMs will start to creep up but if I tap the gas it will lock back up. Almost seems like the car is coming out of lockup and starting to slip. I had it checked at a transmission shop but the car didn't do it while the guy was in the car with me. I really don't know what to do at this point except wait to it breaks or just replace it now.. Thanks guys.

I would like to rebuild it but the only decent shop they have around here wants $3000.00 to rebuild it. I just thought that was high. Any solutions?

Call Vince at FLT transmissions. Unbeatable service and product, and it won't cost you anything near $3000. Plus he offers a sweet refresh special for the life of your tranny.

Should I just go for the big daddy or the stage 4?
