Having tranny installed tom (A4) any tidbits?
Anything I should be aware of or tidbit of info when replacing the A4? Other than adding fluid to the converter, leaving out the dipstick and running it through the gears while still in the air?
Any gotchas???

Make sure the wiring harness is installed correctly or else it will not reach the rear speed sensor and you will have to drop the tranny back down to run the wires the correct way. I found this out the hard way.
anything else??? i just bought a converter and i have another transmission to put in. just wondering. i dont really like the install surprises! and why run it through the gears off the ground? thanks,
Kenny

Running it through the gears ensures fluid is pumped/ported throughout the new tranny and verter.
Other tips:
1. Make sure you have an 8mm allen for the verter bolts
2. Dont lose the tranny line snap rings
3. If not using a lift make sure car is as high as your stands will allow
4. A 13mm universal socket and BMF extension make the bellhousing bolts VERY easy
5. Remove the passenger side heat shielding (prevents DEEP cuts!!)
