Filling should be easy, it comes with a rubber piece to place a funnel inside of for pouring. My concern is whether or not it is long enough and where are people mounting them?

I have a lokar 24'' or whatever it is firewall mount for my 4l80e and it seems alittle to short its kind of of pain to bad they dont make a longer one. Mine is just behind the cowl. It comes with the filler piece I attached a longer piece of rubber to it so I can fill it. The dipstick tube on my my 4l80e is also a pain to get back in and pull out I have to twist it and move it alittle.

I bought the 24 inch for my swap and it was just too short. They have a 36 inch version for the 80e, but I didn't look at the ones for the 60e. I think 36 will be a good fit.

Where did you get the 36'' dipstick for the 4l80e?

I got my 36" one from Summit and have the edge of the bracket underneath the weather seal/stripping on the plastic cowl...looks somewhat factory. If I remember tonight, I will put up a picture

RICE ETR that's a good place to put that dipstick.............I didn't think about that. I just have mine zip tied to the rail.

I got mine a month ago because a friend of mine purchased my old lokar for his 4l80. Mine fit right in his 80...........I don't know if the fill level will be correct for the 80 or not.

My new one has a cable with a cast piece for the level indicator............I like that better than the teflon ones

I have mine mounted like the pics above. I did tweak the bracket to filling is easier. Just a little bend so it faces up a bit more.

I read about many people having issues w/ their Lokar not being long enough, so I ordered a custom length one from Speed Inc. It is 42'' long so I shouldn't have any problems with it coming up short on my th400 swap. I haven't installed it yet, but with that much length I am sure I can find a pretty creative spot to put it.

It was a bit pricey at $99, but after helpiing a friend fill his tranny using one of the shorter ones, it is well worth the extra $$. It was a complete PITA, especially when you are working right on a scolding hot engine. I don't know for sure if they have any for the 60e, but I would guess they could make one custom for you, just like mine was. It took about a week extra because they don't carry them on the shelf, and it had to be made specific to the order.
