My Vigilante 2800 hasn't been locking up in overdrive for the last week or so, even after its warmed up. When I had my cam installed about a month ago, the shop guys said it felt like my converter was loose. Are there any things I could check out myself, or would it just be best to bring it back to my tranny guy and have him look at it? Thanks

 

Are you throwing any misfire codes?

 

Nope. I haven't seen any SES lights.

 

Check for pending codes. Try turning off your misfire detection.

Do a search in the computer forum. Often this a programming issue when you have mods including a cam.

 

Ok. After searching the computer section, it looks like misfire codes are causing the problem. When I get back in town this weekend, I'm going to delete the misfire codes and set the misfire temps to begin at 140 and end at 139. Hopefully this will work because its killing my gas mileage right now, and prices are on the rise. Thanks for the help guys.
