What are the advantages and disadvantages of higher stall speeds? What about lower stall speeds? Ive been recommened lots of different type of converters, one in mind, a 3200. Ive also been recommended a 3800, what difference is it going to make from a 3200 to a 3800? Are there any drawbacks going from smaller to bigger or vise versa? I noticed that a lot of people are going from 3500/3600 to 3800, why is that? Ive never owned a sports car with an auto., so I dont know whats loose and whats tight. I want a converter thats going to do well at the track and still get me about 15mpg in the city if not more. I know of someone running a 3800 with a 3.73 gear, 200-R4 and is getting 13-14mpg in the city. I will be running a 3.42 gear, so Im assuming its going to help a little on gas mileage. The car will be driven on the road, but I plan to take it out to the track a couple of times out of the month. I really dont care if traction is going to be a problem on the street because Im not looking for best times on it, the track is where its most important. However, I will be doing some street racing, depending how it falls in place, it could be from a dig or a roll. Lots of people have been recommending me the 2.5 str because its good on and off the track. How big of a difference is it going to make going to a 2.6 or a 2.7? Do you think a 3800 is too much for a daily driver? Thanks
