Default PT4400 = Installed...

Holy crap. Seriously. This verter rocks, thats all i have to say. It is very loose, but WOW does it flash high and hard. Im VERY happy with this converter, the car isnt just a little faster, its worlds faster. This verter loves my gears and my car's race weight. I do not reccomend this for a full weight car. And the stage 4 flp trans is just the icing on the cake. I cant even tell when it does shift, the RPM's dont drop and the shift occurs so quickly you dont get time to even realize what just happend. Thanks for the great trans chuck. He makes a mean trans.

It works well with my heavy boat; just feels looser.

damn, 3800 lbs, how high does that thing stall before it starts to move? like just normal accelerating, say from a stop sign.

I also run the same converter as him in my full weight car. The looseness doesn't bother me at all. My car will move along just fine from stops without going over 2800 rpm.

I just got mine last week and its much looser than my old Vig3600, I'm sure the 3.42 don't help. It takes 3200 to get moving at a decent pace. Also, the shift extension rocks. My shift points are 6400-6500 and it never drops below 5900.

This is the ultimate 'verter for a n/a LS1 hand down IMO.

When are you hitting the track? I want a heads up race!

BTW: Its a TP4400 :p

Well I wanted 2800 and went 3200, so I should be set for a while at least. That and I'm playing it safe for awhile till I become less paranoid about breaking something, hehe.
And hey, without knowing what I'm getting myself into... I'll run ya at the track I'll even put money on it... ya know, like 50¢. LOL

How the hell are u running 11.20's with that small cam? You should be in the 10's with more stall easy!

I use around 2600. In slow traffic about 2200 - 2400 in quicker traffic about 2800. I jump to 3300 if I get on it much.

I raised my part throttle shift points, especially the 2-3 shift, so that I hold each gear longer and that keeps the rpms down because you take advantage of your gearing rather than ride the converter. That reduced my average rpms by almost 300.
