97 Trans Cooler Lines

Hey guys, I recently had my trans rebuilt. I couldn't get the lines to disconnect so I cut them. I used some rubber hose to reconnect them and now they are leaking.

Does anyone have the GM part number or a set laying around that is compatible with a 97 lt1/4l60e?

i dont know the part # but you could always run to autozone or advance etc and just take one of the old lines in and they could probably get one to your length and size etc

The problem is that they are pre-bent and shaped to fit perfectly where they belong. I don't just want to run some hose. Thanks for the suggestion though, I really appreciate it.

yeh didnt even think about that i was thinking about the aftermarket tranny cooler lines.

Yeah, I noticed those today while google searching for the part number. I wish they were just rubber lines.

When I put in my trans coolers I used 3/8 brake line.Maybe you can use that and a flaring tool/brake line bender and some fittings if you can't find anything,Just a thought and not that expensive.....................Paul

I've had rubber hose on my 71's cooling lines for years without leaks. I used high pressure fuel line and double clamps; retighten them occasionally, they tend to loosen up as the hose compresses.
