TCS 3500 or TCI 3500
TCS 3500 or TCI 3500 Which to go on.
TCS Street Stalker - 3500 stall - str 2.35 - 2.50
TCI Super Street Fighter 3500 stall - str 2.5:1
The SS right now has 3:23's, Jethot LT's, lid, Nitto 315 DR's and hooker catback. Plan on going with a TR 224/224 .561/.561 114 cam this fall, so I want a converter that will go good with that. Will be getting a Transgo kit and cooler when I order the converter as well.
Daily driven with a few trips to the track here and there.
Am leaning toward the TCI, mainly cause I can't find any sites that sell the TCS units.

Derrick at TCS is one of the most helpfully Stall Makers there is as far as stall goes u get a warrenty of like 2 years i think were TCI is 90 days no free restalls Derrick gives restalls for free if I am not mistaken. I have had both I had a TCi streetfighter and Now i have a TCS 4000 with a 3.5 str Hands down the

I do not think a TCI 2800 stall can be compared to a TCS 4000. A converter comparison should be of converters with the same stall. This comparison is like comparing a 2800 against a stock converter. Which do you think is faster? (2800 of course)

Re: TCS 3500 or TCI 3500 I went with the TCI 3000 in my car.. Wish i would of went bigger now. but I cut a 1.85 60ft and its in this nasty weather so im hoping for better 60s when the weather comes around ..have fun and get a Tranny cooler on.. if you dont already

Re: TCS 3500 or TCI 3500 I have the TCS/Pheonix 3600 and was one of the first to have a street converter built by TCS. They are great. Unfortunately I have heard of some horror stories with the TCI's. The build quality is as good or better than any on the market for the TCS/Pheonix. TCS

Re: TCS 3500 or TCI 3500 TCI 3500 here. 11.82 with a 1.61 60ft time internally stock, on drag radials, full weight car, with stock rearend gears. Locks up perfectly on the highway and stays there. No complaints! 
Warlock, you said you've "heard" some horror stories with the TCIs? Well, if you listen long enough and buy the hearsay (what you said is a good example of hearsay since you don't proclaim to have any firsthand experience with them) then you can believe just about anything about any company.
TCI has been building converters longer than any other converter company that I know of. There are WAY more cars at dragstrips across the US running their converter than ANY other converter bar none. With that many converters out there, I'm sure there are countless good and bad stories of them. They know their ****.

Re: TCS 3500 or TCI 3500 What sold me on TCS was the fact that instead of just getting an already made converter off the shelf, you get a custom converter fit for your car and your needs. The customer service is THE BEST, you get a 3-year warranty and unlimited restalls (basicly can change anything, not just the stall speed) and I didn't pay any more than I did for my Vigilante. Hope this helps a little.
Re: TCS 3500 or TCI 3500 I have a TCI 3500 in my SS w/3.23 gears and in this heat of 85-92* I'm pulling low 1.7 60's with an full weight car on Nitto's. I borrowed some ET Streets and launched even harder, but they didn't show the 60'

Re: TCS 3500 or TCI 3500 I had a TCI SSF3800 in my car for 3-4 months before the input splines failed. I was happy with the performance as I picked up .06 in 60foot over the Yank ST3800 I had in before.
When the converter failed, I shipped it back to them overnight which I paid for, and when it was done 2 weeks later, they made me pay for return shipping. I wasn't very happy about that to say the least.

Re: TCS 3500 or TCI 3500 Derek at TCS can build you anything. Don't do the TCI just because of the numbers. TCS all the way. Builds quality converters, free restalls, converters kick ***. I dropped .5 on a 3600 1.9str. I got restalled to a 3800 with a 2.5 and went 11.85.
