Default TH400 Reverse Pattern Valve Body Question

I am in the process of going from an a4 to an a3 (TH400) I see lots of people say they are getting a reverse Pattern Valve Body, what exactly does this mean? and What are the benefits of it? I want to run a TH400 w/ a manual valvebody, and t-brake. Thanks for the help , sorry if this is a stupid question

Reverse pattern means that instead of the standard P R N 3 2 1 it's P R N 1 2 3 If you get a transbrake you will have a reverse valve body because that's how the transbrake works since 1st gear and reverse are right next to eachother it diverts fluid to both gears so they work against eachother to keep the car from moving.
