Default Another stall question

I know theres alot of ?s here about stall converters but how big can i go with a converter before i will need a tune to adjust the shift points. i plan on getting maybe a 3600 maybe lower if that is too big. just to let you know i also run a 100 shot of nitrous, ive seen yank has some converters for nitrous/supercharger applicattion do i have to go with that or just a regular stall converter.

Yank's SS3600 would do great on and off the bottle. I don't think there's a magic stall speed that will let you run without a tune. To really take advantage of a converter, you should be tuned regardless of size. You also don't want to limit yourself based on tuning needs. If you want a 3600, get a 3600. Don't settle for something smaller because it may not take as much to tune.

Yank SS4000/ Vig 3600 + N20= 1.4X-1.5X 60" times and VERY nice ET's and a very happy driver...

The Yank SS3600 is nice for a car that will never see a track but the SS4000 should be the minimum if you plan on racing @ the track or serious street racing

I've driven my SS3800 for 2 years with no tune with no major issues, shure the shift points could be tweeked a little but it's nothing that i'm worried about
