Tranny Rolls in Park and in gear I recently swapped a 5.3L w/ 4L60E tranny into my '93 Silverado. The tranny seems to shift fine (with some slipping but that's another issue). The problem is when I set it to park and turn it off, the truck will still roll both backwards and forwards. What really puzzled me was when I put the key in the run position (without turning the engine on) and shifted down into gear (D, 3,2,1) it still rolled forward and backwards. Can anyone shed some light into this?

Your linkage is likley off as far as park is concerned and its would be normal for the trans to roll not running in any other gear
