I tried a search on the subject but couldn`t come up with anything. I`d like to keep an eye on temps with this TCI4400 in there. What`s a good way to install a guage? (as far as sensor location/placement.) Are guys tapping into the return line from there coolers? Is there a tapped hole on the casing we could use? I don`t have the $`s for Atap right now so a guage seems like the way to go for now. Thanks for any advice.
T.C.I deep pan with Cyberdyne temp sensor drilled and tapped into side of pan!

I talked on the phone with a converter manufacturer about this, and he seemed to think that the pan would not give a very accurate reading. He said it would read cooler than it actually was. He suggested tapping into the trans line as close as possible to the trans to get the most accurate reading. This is just his opinion though so take it for what its worth. Just passing on what he told me.

Thanks for the replys. Both ways seem like they would work to me. I wonder where the sensor is located that sends the temp to the computer and allows it to be read through Atap? I would guess near or at the underside of the valve body/in the pan.
