Default Questions on TP4400, Help me out.

Right now I run 12.0 at 113 with a 1.71 60. I run the Vig 3000. Upgrading to the TP4400 what times do u think I can run with good suspension?

I want a converter that will hit HARD.

1. Is this converter streetable?

2. Could I spray maybe a 100 shot on it?

Thanks guys

Umm.. 4400 isn't the best converter for spray, unless you plan to turn some serious RPM's.

N/A with traction you should see low 11's.

It's a very streetable once you get use to it. You'll hate it at first, but once you get use to it.. you'll fall in love Especially after your first sub 1.6 60ft

Agree with john. If you are going to consistently spray, the YTP 4400 is not the best option but for NA it will give you 11s.

On a serious note, has fast do u think I can take it with just upgrading to the 4400, (Wolfe Torque arm, Sub C's on the way)? Also with 26X11.5X16 M/T ET Streets, what should I stall this converter at the track?? What PSI of tire pressure? Not to familiar about the converter just learning. I know the Vig liked it at 1000-1500. Thanks again guys!

My TP4400 loves the gas (150 shot) with 4.30 gears.

A4, 4.30 gears, TP-4400, 150shot?

Where's your rev limiter at? 28 slicks?

If you can turn the RPM's the TP is not bad on the gas.. but a PY-3600E would be MUCH better.

that car must be very heavy for you to run 12.0's with H/C and a 3000 converter. With the 4400 you should see some much better 60' & ET. I would also say low 11's

Yeah i agree with everything said on this thread. It will take you a bit to get used to it, then you will love it on the street, and its defintaly not a spray stall unless you have a built motor and youre gonna wind it out.

I was only about to stall my old TPE4400 up to around 2000 or so but it cut 1.48-1.52's in my car.

I think a TP4000 would be the better bet but maybe you can do the TP4400 and maybe spray a little less.

Usually the big Yank stuff likes as much rpm as your brakes will hold, but I would experiment from 1500 up to 2500.

OK cool, Im starting to learn about this converter. I know Vigilantes like to be flashed like at 700-1000 or so, and Yanks like to be stalled high
Ill try both(later)when I get my tranny fixed and Ill let u know how she ran.

The rev limiter is at 6400 and I used to run 28's, now I'm on 30's. It runs awesome on the gas for me!

.. well i would get the E.T. drags or the Hoosiers... but you should be able to run mid 10's with that set up. I did with a lot less cam. That coverter kicks ***. The best there is hands down in my opinion.

... i use 3000 personally.

What PSI of tire pressure?

...as high as you can go and not spin, though i dont think the "streets" will hold you worth a damn. I run about 13 in my drags.

Good luck.

Raughammer, Thanks for the info, will try maybe not that much stall but close. Like you said the ET Streets wont hold compared to drags. But Im always willing to give it a shot.

'Will Race For Food' LOL I like that!

I started out at 2000 and went up in 200 increments each pass and it kept going faster 3000 got me a 1.52 short time. I went as high as 3500 but w/no improvement. So, like Raughammer 3000 works best for me.

I was dead hooking every time on a little 26x8.5 ET Drag
