Default RCI transmission blanket

who is using one of these? and has anybody had any problems with it trapping heat in the transmission and causing it to burn up? I'm about to order one but if they cause overheating then i'm going to get a shield but i heard that a shield is hard to make fit.

I would be interested to learn about the origins of your concern for excessive heat due to the useage of a blanket.

Ordinarilly, the blanket is reserved for high horsepower racing apps that are going to see high torque loads and high rpm's for short periods of time.

Understanding the combination and intended use would allow me to make a solid recommendation for you.

I personally have not heard of a tranny overheating when using that safety device. But, I have not seen too many of those devices on street cars either.
