locking up torque convertor

locking up torque convertor I have a question and an idea. Let me know what you think or if any one has tried it how did it work. First question which wire do I run 12 volts to for manual lockup control on a 2000 ss camero. The idea is to use a window swith or rpm activated switch to activate the lock up in the top of each gear. I think this will help carry the 1-2 shift better instead of having such a drop from the 3.06 to I think 1.76 ratios and this is a N2O car and it will help keep the engine under load which N2O loves to be loaded. If properly set up I think it sould keep the engine in a tighter power band the sweet spot right before the horse power curve starts to level off and still keep it from going too low in rpm and out of the power band. Let me know what you think. This is a big cubic inch N2O cobination with a stage 3 trans 3500 stall and a 9" with 3.50 gears with a 26" tall et street soon possiblly 3.90 gear with 28" tall rubber. You might want to ask them if their converter can take being locked up.
My old TPE4400 had a custom kevlar clutch for locking it up.

Re: locking up torque convertor I talked to Speed Inc. and they said that most even heads and cam cars will blow through the locked up convertor. I have a tci street fighter 3200 stall only at the top end might it hold. the lock up wire is the brown with black strip in pin number 33 I think
Re: locking up torque convertor I have locked up my car manually, have not done it for a while but it held no problem. If I locked it too early it would even lug the motor down.
I think locking 2-3 might be okay but I don't know that I would mess with 1-2.
