A Stall...
For comparison sake, my SS4000 with a 2.5 STR had a ~4900 RPM shift extension with 6000 RPM shift points. So the Fuddle appears to carry that a little higher which is nice. My PT4400 has a ~5800 RPM shift extension with 6500 RPM shift points.

is it better to have it start of at 4000 rpms or closer or 3000 rpms. wouldnt you run out of range sooner?
and does the stall only work when you take off. after first gear i mean, then does it just act like normal shifting...
so i guess im asking does the bigger number on the stall mean it will take off the line faster....
and what does the slipping and loosenes mean...

which would make this a good deal.
But if anyone knows of anyone who is selling other really good stalls i would like to be notified..
thanks again for all your help..
Stall helps just about all RPM's.. see the video I posted below and watch the Tach during the last Wide open run. in a stock stall car the RPM's would drop to probably 3000 rpm and fall out of the powerband during the shifts. My vid with the stall the car never goes below about 5000 rpm between the shifts (5000 rpm shift extension) keeping the car in the Powerband at all times. You won't run out of range at all.. LS1 love high RPM stalls and make great power all the way to redline.
Anyways here is a video of my Vig 3600 stall (actually acts more like a 4000 stall in reality) .. pretty normal driving Although I did get on it a little leaving the parking garage. then some full throttle stuff at the end. you can see to keep up with normal traffic its not using a lot of RPM's at all. usually no more than 2500-3000 rpm at the most. The only downfall is stalled cars get a couple MPG worse mileage in the city. highway MPG will not change.

And no, I'm not a salesman for Yank, I've just always run them because they've always worked well for me. Now that he's got the three warranty, it'd be hard to pass that up. There are other manufacturers that are proven as well, namely Vigilante. You'll hear bad things about Fuddle, but if circumstances had been different when I purchased my first converter, I could just of easily ended up with one of those.
Some of the examples you have said in the past helped me decide on ss4000
