Convertor Question driveability I'm wanting to install a 3200 stall tci in my 2001 ss basically stock I've got an slp lid holley power shot filter with fra mods and 160 thermostat I dont run it much at the track there's not much available in my area anyway's let's say at 50 mph what rpm would I be running at or let's say 60 mph would it be at 3200 rpm because that's what I stall at I'm worried about the real slow rpm's thanks

Re: Convertor Question driveability If you have a a4 it wont change cause its a lockup convertor. Only thing your going to feel it is on take off and any time the convertor unlocks. To get going you will have to rev it more.
Re: Convertor Question driveability your converter should lockup around 35mph or so so its gonna feel like stock above that. Its gonna feel a little sluggish around town. It seems like the car is just saying ( FLOOR ME ).
when the car shifts into OD its gonna have the same rpms as stock....

gas mileage will drop a tad, just depends on how much around town/city stop and go driving you do <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
i didnt notice a whole lot of a drop with mine, but then again im really not worried about gas mileage with the way the stall feels <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
