Bypass the stock cooler, and run a b&m 24k trans cooler. Just make sure all the clamps are tight, and you'll be good to go.

I wouldn't bypass the stock cooler. I did it twice and both times it caused my temps to go up about 10-15* in the Florida heat. The stock cooler integrated within the radiator was engineered that way for a reason. Though the engine temps reach upwards of 210* in extremely hot conditions, if the thermostat is doing it's job, it opens and allows 'cooler water' to enter into the motor to keep it cooled down.

In Ohio, you wouldn't prob see much difference whether you bypassed the stock cooling system or not, but, why not keep it running as cool as is possible. You constantly have cooler air moving through the radiator keeping it cool .. when not moving, you still have the radiator housed in metal ... thus providing somewhat of a cooling effect, as well. Stick with not bypassing the stock cooling system.

Honestly having a cooler even on a stock trans is a good thing. B&M makes one where it will be bypassed until it gets up to temp then run both. So it wont over cool.

I am not going to use a fan, I am installing a trans temp gauge. I am sure it will be fine, if not then i can look into more options. I think with a big b&m like mine you would be fine, I have seen others with the same setup be just fine.

Tore into my car today and moved the 29.200 GWV to the same location you have yours mounted and it's running 10-15* cooler. Thanks for posting the pics. I got your PM and will look into the braided lines ... they look very nice over the rubber stuff! Thanks for all the info and Happy Easter brother!
