Default 4l60e ???

i have a 1998 trans am and the trans just gave out. i was wondering if a 4l60e trans from a 95 2 wheel drive jimmy would work it i swapped out the tail housings?

arent the 60e's in the f-bodies set up to shift a a lil firmer than the ones in the suv's and such?

From the looks of your setup, you should definitely upgrade to a solid, built tranny. Looks like you're trying to save $$$, which is understood, but if you just do it right this time you won't keep blowing through transmissions. I don't know for sure, but I imagine a 4L60 from a Jimmy wouldn't last a week in your car.
