i had a yank 4400 stall with 3.23 gearing. it's definitely a loose converter on the street. gas mileage went down in city driving a few mpg, but on the freeway it's still the same cause of the lockup. if you have a loud exhaust it gets pretty annoying. also, i had some driveability issues with the converter not locking up on the freeway, but i got ls1edit to take care of that. if you have a higher(numerically) gear, than that takes away a bit from the "looseness". Hope that was of some help. oh yeah, but the driveability issues all go away when you mash the throttle <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

ok but from a stop how high did you have to rev to get it to move and did you spin from stop light to stop light also what changes did you make in ls1 edit to make it better.

I have the same converter as the Kid. I am running 4.10 gears though so that helps. Just rev it up to about 3000 pulling away from a stop and i have no problems. Doesnt spin at that RPM if you stop it there. But if you get into it to hard then your in for some fun. Everything else is just like Z28kid has said. For some it may be annoying but for most who get a converter that big they dont even think about it because they want that little extra performance out of their car.
