4L60E Slipping @ 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.
I just had my true duals installed. Found out afterwards that my tranny is slipping when shifting between the 1-2 and 2-3. I only notice it at wot and I have changed my shift points with hpp3. I also changed tranny fluid and filter about 500 miles ago. The car has 78k on it. The reason I bring up about the true duals is because I was told that the tranny feeds off of some back pressure from the exhaust and that when my new exhaust was put in.. they may have just plugged up the line on the tranny.. I don't know if that makes any sense... but that is what a friend of mine was saying could have happened.. (his info was told to him by one of his friends) I don't know how legit this info is..I really don't think that it is the problem.. I am hoping that if this sounds familiar to anybody they will let me know.
Thanks,
Spyder

There is no line that connects the exhaust to the trans.
Maybe, what your friend meant was that your car is revving faster now due to less back pressure and the trans (perhaps due to it's older age, 78K) is not responding fast enough to the PCMs command to shift. Have you tried raising the rev limiter another 100rpm or so? Or maybe drop back the shift points another 1-2mph?

RPM WS6,
I agree with you and that is what I thought, but I guess I just needed some confirmation of my thoughts. I appreciate the reply.
Thanks,
