I went with 3200 and wish I had gone to a 3600..you wont be disappointed..A good stall is alot tighter than a cheap one and you wont notice it as much

I must be the only person that went 3200 Vig, and had no wish of going bigger. Now I'm going M6.

I went 3500 and wish I had gone with a 4000. That is one of the downsides to picking a stall. Most people end up wanting more. I'm still willing to bet that if he goes 3600 he'll be wanting more within 6 months. If he goes 3200 he'll be wanting more within 6 days

The LS1 engines love stall, it is typically better to go higher than you think, you will appreciate it later. 3500+

Goes back to the fact that you should test out people who have the verters you are looking at before you buy, if that is possible.

There is a noticeable difference between 3200 and 4K (good or bad is preference), and even then there is a difference between companies and how 'loose' or 'tight' their TC's are.

People with vigs should really clarify what they are running because of the way PI under rated thier stalls. A Vig 2800 is really a 3200 rpm stall and a vig 3200 is really a 3600 rpm stall.

So when you say you wouldn't want any higher then the vig3200 do you mean the 3600 stall or the vig2800 that actually flashes to 3200?

Damn PI for making things more complicated then they needed to be

It's because PI knew people would ***** out and get a gay 2800 or 3200 stall when in reality the best performance possible from a stock LS1 is found by slapping a 4200(+/-200RPM) Converter in that bitch and enjoy your 1.5 60".

Only reason to go slightly smaller than 4200 is for spray or FI use. Even with spray a 4000RPM(Vig 3600/Yank SS4000) converter is king...

Every stalled car I've driven feels the same from a 3500 Yank to a PT4400 to my Vig 3600... until WOT thats when a real mans converter shines

exactly!!! hahaha! a vig 3200 is pretty much comparable to the SS 3600!! i went with vigilante over yank cuz it seemed like the vig were better street verters and yanks were better strip verters..

PI's converters have been known for their under-rated stall speeds since before the LS1 came out.

I Also have a vig 3800 sitting in my garage, It feels identical to the SS4000 Yank. The Yank has a higher STR(from what I have read) though & hits much harder.
