will an st3500 hold up with more mods
thanks to trevor and a lot of other people, last year on a post, i decided to go with the yank st3500 sometime this year. well, i was looking at the yank application guide and noticed they recomend different tc's when using sc/s, n20, etc...when i get the tc, i'll have lid/filter, catback, 3.73's, predator tuning. my question is if later i decide to add an s/c or h/c package, will i need to change the converter too?
Nah, it'll work just fine with a S/C or heads/cam. That's not to say that it'll be the fastest converter out there for the application but neither is it for your current application.
It's a fine, well rounded converter that will work well in a WIIIIIIIIIIIIDE range of combinations.

thanks colonel. by the way, my car is going to be about 95% street/daily driver and 5% weeekend dragstrip fun. would the st3500 still be a good choice?
Yes it would but as far as I know, Yank doesn't make the ST3500 for the LS1 anymore. They make the SS3600 and SS3800 instead which are even better converters.
I'm running the TCI 3500 in my '02 and am really pleased with it. A GREAT low cost alternative (they're a sponsor here as well...hint, hint.)

i didn't know they stopped making them. i think i will check out the new yanks and tci's. there is just so many choices and i don't want to have to keep trying new ones. if i choose to get either one you mentioned, i'll tell them the colonel sent me.. thanks again!
