Thinking of making the Cannibal an A4 ;)
The Gear Vendor Unit is $2235 shipped...it's expensive, but I plan on making ~800hp with my Incon car in the next year or so.

The GVOD unit is heavy and I have heard a few folks complain about it not working consistently.
The 4L80E is heavy and inefficient, plus you have to modify the tranny tunnel to get it to fit.
The 200-4R is still the best choice. You're making monster power, so the 4L60E will die sooner or later. You won't be able to slap it in and not worry about it like you want. The 200-4R is lighter, more efficient, and has a slightly better overdrive ratio for highway cruising.
You sure did get a monster of a car to change a bunch of stuff on it and not romp on it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

They are holding heavy Buick GNs into the mid/low 9s. I am having no problems with the one I have now - it's a great tranny. And I can spray the thing in OD and it has no problem with it (not that I recommend doing that).
It does matter who builds the transmission though. There is a huge variance among the tranny builders. Some 200-4Rs, as delivered, do appear to be crap. Not the ones built by Mike Kurtz, though (as I have). There are some other good 200-4R builders - check out turbobuick.com.

PSJ, how many passes would you say you had on it?
Reckless, is the TH400 streetable? I want it to drive/shift near what a stock 4l60E would. I drive on long highway trips sometimes and I don't want to get 5 mpg and be at 3500 rpm at 75 MPH cruising down the highway. Is this avoidable with the TH400 setup properly?

Now you know why Tony sold the car! There is no good tranny solution. A 4L60E won't hold up long, the 200r4 is a PITA and probably not much stronger than the 4L60E, the TH350/TH400 will last but are not very streetable and nothing like the stock setup. More extravagant options like a gear vendors overdrive or 4L80E are expensive and experimental. Your best solution is to keep the M6 and be happy with high 10 second time slips.
