My friend bought a used Super Yank a while back for his 2001 C5. How do you tell which stall it is. Size, markings? Thanks.

Yank puts a sticker on it saying what it was. If the sticker is off there is no to tell from a visual inspection of the housing since the difference between the SY 3500 (most common, especailly for a C5) and SY 4000 is the blade angle on the pump.

 

Well, once it's installed you could check the stall in second gear....if 'Vettes have second gear start that is.

Ragtop? Whatcha know about that?

 

Call Yank with the serial number they should be able to tell you what stall the converter is.
