After exhanging several PM's with TXCAMSS and talking to Chris at Circle D I recently purchased a Circle D 5C converter for my recently freshened up motor. 5C is their designation for a 5000 stall.
Well, I finally got the motor installed and running this weekend. I put 100 miles on the new setup and I have to say, I love this converter. Believe it or not, the streetability of this converter is no different compared to my previous converter; PT4000. In fact it feels a little tighter on the street with better off-idle throttle response. Don't get me wrong, I loved that converter and had no problems with it, I just wanted something different. So far, no additional tuning is required for the switch. For comparisons sake, switching from a TCI 3800 to the PT4000 required extensive tuning in all tables.
Anyway, I just wanted to report in for those considering a converter to consider Circle D. Great service and Chris is a nice guy who is a straight shooter. I can't wait to hit the track with this converter!
BTW - Here's a clip of the new setup idling. This was about 10 minutes after the initial start up.

Congrats man! I knew you would like it. Be sure to keep us updated on the track results. I hope you have some sticky tires and the nose of the car tightened up

The "5C" is a very impressive converter, great 60's and great street manors.
