If running 2 coolers it was suggested by Frank at Performabuilt to run them parallel and not in series. To clarify the supply line will Y into each cooler and the return Y's back into the return. Some including myself would have ran them one cooler right into the other and out. Maybe he will give some input.

This is to reduce restriction and possible excessive pressure in the converter which could in turn cause premature wear on the crankshaft thrust bearing.

I have a 2001 Z28 (Sara), with a Y3000 converter, B&M 3 qt deeper pan and B&M 24K cooler. My engine has a 180F thermo, with fans adjusted.

I live in a very warm climate, and in dead of summer my trans temp is 135F to 150F (freeway), and 160F to 180F (in town, stop and go).

I have had outside temperatures in winter (mid 50's), and would have trans temp of 110F to 125F, 145F to 155F (in town).

I am using a "Cyburdine" digital transmission gauge, with the sender in the 1/8 NPT port in the transmission case.

Good luck in correcting your problem.

I live in the Mojave Desert area of So. Calif where temps average 100+ daily during the Summer. I use the B&M 24K SuperCooler and the stock radiator cooler. I have the stock GM Thermostat plus the SLP manual Fan Switch. Engine temps avg 186 and the trans has never overheated.

I have a th350 rmvb, 4000 stall with a brake. Is this cooler enough for my setup?

Also, what is the best way to set up a temp gauge on these things?
