Help............A4 Question my trans quit on me 2 days ago without any prior slipping or anything, just driving down the road at about 30-45 mph and it just acted like it went into neutral, no noises and the driveshaft wasnt moving, some people say it was the front pump, what do you think

Re: Help............A4 Question Hey, it might be the shift-linkage cable or problably ur transmission mount. I used to own a 90'Z28 nd i had the same problem. i checked under the car and noticed that the tranny mount was missing a bolt. I replaced the bolt and the car was back to normal.
Re: Help............A4 Question The simple way to check if the front pump is working is to take one of trans cooler line off at the raditor or trans cooler and then have some one start the car and see if it pumps out trans fluid no fluid then the pump is bad
If there is fluid coming out turn the car off asap.
