Will early Year 4L80E work with a 2001 LQ4 6.0 ?
Hi everyone .Iam installing LQ4 6.0 out of a 2001 gmc pick up that had a 4L80e .
Iam using the stock wire wire harness so the connector for the trans i for a 80E .I wanted to use a 4L60E but decided to go with a 80E .What years would work with my harness and motor the best .and also would the early years like year 93 and up work whats different about them can they be converted to work? also what years were better than others .I need to find one and dont know what year to look for. Thanks For any good info

Can't go wrong with a unit from the guys at FLT! Loving the 80 in my Chevelle. Chuck has done 2-TH400's, a 60, a 200 and now an 80 for me. I have not broken one of them yet. One of the 400's was behind my 502 for 10 years and was heavily abused! It's sitting in my garage now and I would not hesitate to put it behind another engine.
Vince, Good to see you and your son at the open house. Chuck showed up a little later and we hung out and shot the **** for a while. If I didn't say so already the build and converter spec turned out fantastic.
