One of my builds on a customer/friends car is a 98 C5 427" /w RPM Stg 5 tranny with a transbrake that has ran 10.6 on the motor and 9.7 @ 148 on spray. Ive seen just over 800 rwhp on the dyno with it so far...

Fastest car on 4L60E that I know of belongs to LS1Queen/Chevpower from WCR.
It was a 383CI + nitrous, ran a best of
1.344 60ft
6.08@114.92 1/8
9.492@144.1 1/4
with a 4L60E that Chevpower built himself.
It later went 9.21@146 with a TH350.

Chevpower was using my Pro Street kit with this. He had just added a Sonnax 2nd gear apply servo and a Alto extra wide carbon 2-4 band when he spit out a driveshaft at the 1,300 foot mark. It took out the transmission. He then went with the TH350 as stated. Greg told me that the best with this was 5.78ET @121mph in the 1/8 mile, & a 9.36ET @144.6mph in the 1/4 mile. He had many passes in the mid to high nines. At the last conversation with him, he stated he will be working on a new built 4L60E.

He wants to be able to drive to the track as before, and show what the 4L60E can do. He knows the TH350 was a little quicker, but where is the challenge. With the new motor and even more nitrous, he would like to able to get low nines, or high eights. His wife had a child recently, and I do not know if she will drive the new setup, like in the past, he did not say. He is asking a lot, but I will do whatever it takes do get there.

I had one of Performabuilt Level II trannys behind my 69 with a LME built LS7, 650fwhp, Yank ss3200 converter. Went thru the initial tune and initial trial run and lost 2nd gear, burned clutches. Had a local guy rebuild it, now it works well. Working with Frank at Performabuilt, I'll know more about their customer service after they recieve the old parts and then I'll post it.

Oh Dana.. You should know better to think I wouldn't be running again. LOL Peyton is fine and my health is alot better after my stroke. I just ran the new car we picked up in Feb Saturday at BMP. I made some shake down passes with the new setup.

Not sure how are info got crossed but i did go 9.49@144 loosing the shaft at about 1300 feet. It was my 3 speed setup that when 5.87@121
We mostly ran the 1/8 but the trans made the 2-3 shift in the 1/8 and to me that all that counts,
Now we are working on a new 4l60e project now, Me and FTI (a converter company) is building a 4l60e with a different gear set, This trans will go behind a 440ci lsx in a 3500+ weight car, we dont know how fast we can go or how long it will last but we are looking foward to it. Are old set up had well over 300 1/8 mile passes 6.30- 6.02 and the only failure's we had was a broken out put shaft (the car was 3770lbs cutting 1.32 60ft) and 2 broken pump rotor's due to me running vaccumm modulation and loosing the line (the pumps do not like high line pressure at low rpm's)
