The fun just never ends... Well, my trans is giving me more trouble i think, the lock up only holds when it feels like it, randomly, and at wot it bounces the rev limiter twice on the 2-3 shift. I dont know what the lock up pressure is set at, that may be the culprit in that area, the 2-3 shift im wondering if it has anything to do with using the dexron 6 fluid plus a quart of lucas. i heard that stuff is a little slicker then dexron 3 but i dont know.
I put dexron 6 in my 96 S10 when it came out 2 yrs ago, got about 6 qt's in it and I thought the tranny had **** the bed on me, slipped terribly. from a dead stop and shifting. I talked to a guy who owns a trans shop and he told me even tho they say it's ok, he doesn't recommend running it in older tranny's, especially with high mileage.

Randomly locking is often misfire related (real or false misfires).
The 2-3 can just be a little slowness or pressure variation that
makes the trans slow down. Adaptive learning sucks and must
go away, then you can set it up and know it'll stay put.
