Shifter and flex plate recommendations?
also i no nothing bout autos or shifters, but with a ratchet you can only change one gear at a time and it spring loaded, so i would be like hitting it once for rev, twice for neu, and three times for 1st and ect and dosent slide all the way thru like a stock shifter? that is if you tranny was park, rev, neu, 1st, 2nd, 3rd

TCI and B&M Pro rachet here...really pleased with it. If you are using the M6 console guys just keep the boot and use it on the shifter. I went from an A4 and made it work with the stock console..turned out real nice. There are tons of pics on here of this setup.

I liked the pro ratchet too, with the **** and button set up. I could have used that for my 2 step. I just didn't know about the small lever on the side of the shifter. I couldn't tell if that was the lock out release or what. The pictures and descriptions weren't clear. Oh well. I guess now I know it could've worked. Guess I'll have to stick with my getto switch under my ****.
I used a new GM flex plate and a Quarter Stick. The shifter fits perfectly in the A4 console where the old shifter sat. It looks very clean and you have the added advantage not havin to use a ratchet shifter. IMO. GM flexplate runs about $110.
