Tranny question, 90 chevy truck 400 T- GV/ 4L60 E swap

Tranny question, 90 chevy truck 400 T- GV/ 4L60 E swap I've got a co worker with a 90 SS 454 truck, with 400T tranny (long shaft), and a Gear Vendors OD.
He would like to do an even up swap for my new FLP 4L60E. What would be involved in doing this? Will my 4L60E even bolt up to his 454? I'll be giving him my stock convertor.
Will I be ok with the long tail housing on his tranny? Because the GV is tranny specific, and if I switched that, then I would have to get a different addapter from GV.
I appreciate any thoughts, and or oppinions. Thanks.
