Default Some 4L80E install questions

I'm starting my 4L80E(from T400) install today and I have a handful of questions. I just uncrated my tranny and noticed a few things.

1)On the top of the tranny there is a vent tube sticking out. It was taped off. Do I need to put anything on this tube?

2)On the driver's side of the tranny a little above the pan there is a 1/8" plug. Can I put my tranny temp sender in there?

3)On the driver's side tail shaft there is some sort of a threaded sensor...what is this for and what do I do with it?

4)On the driver's side about the middle of the tranny there is some sort of big plug sticking out(looks almost like a trailor hitch plug)....what is it and what do I do with it?

5)I've heard that the 'ears' need trimmed off. Is this the piece on the driver's side bell housing laying flat?

6)What is needed to hook up a stock 4L60E shifter? The shift lever on the tranny is just the threaded rod with no bracket or lever.

7)My TH400 driveshaft yoke will go in 3 1/16". After that it is spongey but will go in another 7/8" without much effort. How far should the yoke go in?

Thanks for any and all help. I'm sure I"ll end up with more questions by the end of the day. I'll be using BS3 to control the tranny and their harness as well. I don't have that yet so I'm not sure if the sensors I mentioned above will be on it or not.

The 4l80e being controlled by the BS3 is easy, the big round plug, the TISS and TOSS plugs are all that need connected. You have to Y the VSS (toss) plug and reverse one pair for spedo (stock gauges).

For the plugs and senders, contact your builder to do a 100% check, it never hurts to check.

Same deal as stock gauge since the auto meter will be cal'd separately.
