The best place to have it installed is in YOUR garage. It's not incredibly hard. It's a little bit of a pain, but not too bad. The money saved is well worth it.

you'll get it done right and have a chance to talk with folks who really know these cars.
Rapidmotorsports, JPR, or Cartek are probably within 2 hours of your location.

I checked out 4 shops before I found one I trusted. And I mean CHECKED THEM OUT.
#1. Advertised 'PERFORMANCE' Transmission-converters. Right.
"Can you bring the car over so we can look at it?"
"3000 stall in a street car- WOW!"
"I can't give you an estimate without putting it up on a lift. I never worked on one of these before."
#2. Dealer. $600. (And they never did one, either.)
#3. Never returned my call.
#4. Local transmission shop, in business for 25 years. Owner has a '55 Chevy he races, said he must have had a dozen different converters in it over the years. Knew enough to replace the seal in the quote. $300 + fluid and seal.
Guess which one I went with on both installs?
