Ok, I have had my rebuilt tranny and vig 3600 converter in the car now for 1wk. The car has driven great until tonight.. Now I am getting this crazy feeling vibration/shudder when slowing down, right before it shifts from 2nd to 1st. It does this also when the car is in neutral and the car slows down.. It is not the brakes....
I am thinking it is converter related, but I do not know how or what to check.. Thanks in advance for the help...

Hey man, sorry to hear you're having problems.
I have something similiar wrong with my car. Its being torn apart as we speak at my local tranny specialist. If I can offer one peice of advice it would be to get it to the shop and quit driving it. Mine got worse very quickly.
Hope it turns out well.

Well, the tranny is under warranty so I will drive it till it breaks....
I really do not think it is anything like you are experiencing... But hey, who knows...

I have heard of quite a few people having the same problems with the A4 w/ torque converter. I have noticed it especially with the Yank converters. I know this post doesnt solve your problem, but I have seen it before.
