Default weird 1st-2nd shift?

Uh.. I don't know if anything is wrong or not. I haven't been in any other automatic LS1 cars.. so this may be normal.

I have 3.73 gear....

So anyway .. when I'm starting up slowly .. like on a town street where the speed limit is 35-45 .. when the tranny gets ready to shift .. it kinda waits a second and then shifts hard..

its not like its SLIPPING i don't think .. but it just doesn't feel right. when i've got more throttle it shifts a lot smoother .. and at WOT its PERFECT.. but when i have little throttle .. its weird..

I don't know if i've explained it good enough .. but is this normal or is something wrong?

::Austin::
ps.. the only thing i have done that would have anything to do with this is 3.73 and hpp3.. no stall or anything

Hmmmmm... sounds VERY similar to the problem I was having. Only happens at feather throttle right?

Do you have an aftermarket MAF?

Have you increased the shift firmness at all with the hypertech?

Try putting the stock programming on and see if that changes it any.

I had the problem with my Granatelli unit. I took it off and the problem went away.
