Ok,i can drive at 65-70 but as soon as i slam it to the floor it goes to 80mph and 6000rpm and doesn't shift,sounds like i'm hitting the rev limiter but if i let off and feather it gentle it goes over 100mph no prob. This happened before i blew my trans, i spent $2500, for a complete over haul and it does it with the new one? I dont know whats up. With the new trans it did it after a burnout,but just a small one,is it getting hot?

 

Have you tried kicking it down in the D position does it do the same.

 

I havent tried that but next time i will, but i know it was in od.

 

Reason I ask the overun clutch is on in D and will support the sprag , If the sprag was not replaced in the rebuild then it may be letting go on hard acceleration

 

They said the replaced it with a hardend sprag,but i would have rather got the one from you. I was the one who called looking for a trans in pa when i broke down.
