Default what stall to go with?

I have a 2000 camaro with bolt ons, and am ordering 3.73 gears, and would like to know what stall people would recommend to run with this setup.

so anywhere between 3200 and 3600 would be a pretty good combination with the current mods i have.

I would recommend 2 options. Our "2C" is rated about 3200 and is perfect for the casual racer who wants a little more performance, but wants to maintain street-ability. Second option is our "4C". It is rated at 36-3800 and is more performance oriented. Still very drive-able on the street, but will drop you ET by .5, if you can get traction. If you are considering a cam in your near future, I would suggest the "4C".

Default Depends on

what your goals for the car are. Like Chris said, 3200 is a great daily driving type converter. It would be good with bolt on's as well. But if your car is going to get heads, cam , intake, TB, etc, etc, Your going to need the looser 3800-4200 range {depents on what the WOT upshift rpms are} to make use of your new found power adders.

Here is a shame-less comercial to consider: I have a 3200 Vigilante that i just rebuilt with a high carbon lock up clutch lining, also new bearings, springs, and rollers that i'd let you have for $350 shipped.

But you really need to have a vision of what you want your vehicle to be. You only want to buy a converter once.

My brother ran 3.73s and a SS4000. The fastest he ran on a intake and catback was a 12.4 on DRs with mid-1.6s. He ran 12.2s (really easy) with LTs.

I've only run 12.6s with manifolds because of banging into the rev' limiter on 3.23s and a SS3800.

I think you should go at least a 3500. You'll likely find that you'll like it and wish you went higher.

Yank SS3600 or SS4000 are great daily driver converters that offer great performance....if you're planning a cam or H/C down the road without spray, the PT series is King!!

I think the Yank SS3600 is the perfect DD converter for a bolt-on/gears car.
