Bad Tranny
Bad Tranny Ok i have a 1998 pontiac formula LS-1 a4....i Killed the tranny not sure how .......It was a loud pop and shot fluid out of the dipstick and now i can drive but i think there is no secound and OD ...and then when driving or something i can here it pop and it will shift way different but i still have to let of the gas for it to shift from those to gears.....after it shot the fluid i filled it back up ....I have N2O
Now i have to put it in 1 then drive till like 3500k and let of and put it in 3rd and it will drive but not 2nd or D....
I have a transmision from a 1997 with od and then one from a 1993 will either of those help me ........
And last but not least will a after market stall converter from a 97 work with my 98

Sounds like you killed the 2-4 band if reverse still works. Probably tore the anchor out of it, does this car by chance have upgraded 2-4 servos?
I dont think the earlier trannies will help you unless you scavenge parts from them. And for a fact the lt1 converter wont work for you.

Sounds like you may have broken the input sprag. , No THE 93 AND 97 UNITS WONT HELP AND NO THE 97 CONVERTER WONT WORK
