Default OK for a new stall after solving 2-3 shift hanging?

My car has been hanging on the 2-3 shift for quite some time, thought my trans was going south. I tried some tips from this forum which said to increase line pressure(only 6%) on 2-3 shift, lower shift mph/rpms(predator) and launch in OD instead of 3rd. No more hanging, shifts crisply into 3rd now under WOT. Woohoo! So would it be fine to go ahead with a TC and cooler now? I have had stalled A4's before, the tight stock TC is driving me nutz!

Tough to say. I might suggest a good service. Pull the pan and check the condition of the fluid, look for any debris and cut open the filter as well. If all that is OK, than you will probably be fine. Sadly you never know for sure.

What are you wanting out of the car?? Better track times, better from a roll, or better street manors??

Looking for a nice drop in et, but since it's a DD, it'll only have 245 nitto DR's on it. Great from a roll would be a big plus since it seems like the majority of my encounters are rolls. Car will be cammed but not till next summer, due to $$. So I'm guessing something with a sub 2.0 STR and 3500-4000 stall that wont hammer the tires too hard out of the hole but will pull HARD from a roll? Any tuning required beyond shift rpm/mph settings. I only have a diablo right now for simple tuning :-(

I got a TCI 3500 years ago that I am still using. When I got the TC I used the Predator for the shift points.
