Default TCS converter choice

I'm thinking about switching to a TCS converter. I want to get the most out of my car(stock internals). I was thinking ~4000-4400 stall. Would 4400 be too much? What STR should I get? I currently have a Vig2800 w/3.73 gears, Hooker Lt's, 3" True Duals,Maft....etc. I currently run 11.90's @ 115 with a 1.62 60'. What kind of gains could I see with a stall this high? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mike

A 4200 will get you into 1.5x 60' range.

You'll need ET Streets or similar rubber; no drag radials for best performance.

I am still waiting to see some results though from these TCS converters before I decide to make the switch.

just to give you another option, since your fairly local. I've only heard good things about these phoenix converters. You can do a search on the www.easternfbody.com forum for phoenix and see for yourself. 3 year warranty and free restall. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

MADCOW I have a TCS 4200 and its awesome. I had a ST3600 for about 2years and I believe it to be one of the best street/strip converters there is. My best 60' with the Yank was 1.574 in mid 40 degree weather. And thats with heads and cam with a 4.10 gear. I went to the track this past sunday with the TCS. My first run I cut a 1.566 spinning, a friend said you could see smoke coming from the tires. My second pass, I cut a 1.513, I still dont think I was hoking up that good. My last full pass I did a little longer burnout-stalled it up more and cut a 1.501. I was felling pretty good, so I went to get a 1.4x 60'. My stock rear end couldnt handle it. My car is getting a 12 bolt and a built tranny. I'll let you know more when I get back to the track.

You can't go wrong with TCS on any converter for price, quality and warrenty. I'm part of the test team and im currently testing a 4200 with a 2.7str and will test a 4200 with a 2.5str soon.

Last week i cut several 1.57s and 1.56 spinning the ET Drags on the launch. This converter i have should net some high 1.4 60fts. with some better suspension (which im doing now). Give derek a call and tell him what your wanting and he can hook you up!

Outstanding performance, probably the strongest convertor made for the LS1, three year warranty, unlimited restalls, great tech support and customer service......this is a no brainer. I pulled out a Yank to put in a TCS convertor. A second TCS convertor should be here tomorrow that will go in my son's Camaro.
