Default TH400 Guys Need Help

Hey guys I am building a car from the ground up I have everything except when I went to bolt up my TH400 with my Yank Brace it will not fit. The car was originally a LT1 but now is convertered to run LS1 everthing but the brace will not fit the floor. I know BMR makes a brace but with no TQ Arm mount. I call Mike at Yank today but no response yet I call someone else (who will remain nameless --Allan-- ) but no call back. Does anyone make a TH400 brace with a TQarm mount built in to work with a LT1 floor. Thanks I need to overnight this thing to finish the car ASAP>>

What is the difference between the LT1 and LS1 braces? I thought they were the same?

So did I that is why I bought the Yank TH400 brace I had two cars on the rack and I went back on forth. It fit a 2002 just fine but my 93 would not work anybody else have a idea of what to do besides make one from scratch.

The LT1 bodies are different than the ls1 bodies????? I had the same problem in my LS1 conversion. I bought a LS1 A4 brace and it wouldn't mount to the body. Than I tried using the stock LT1 A4 brace and the ls1 4l60e trany mount sits farther back than the LT1 about 2 inches so I made the holes larger on my stock LT1 brace and it worked barely. So the bodies are different and the tarny mount sits in a different spot. So it will probably have to be custom.

Same problem here, I just did the same as 95LS1TA did, just make the holes bigger in the brace, worked fine for me.

Yes, like turbo said, they are different. Had mine fabricated to match body holes on my 1994 chassis and the 4L60E off the LS1.
