While I am sure there are many competent builders in your area, I encourage you to take a little time and do some research. You'll find that the 4L60E is not the sort of unit that just any builder can manage to keep together in performance applications.

Do a search for Dana at Pro Built Automatics (PBA). He is in Cali. and he's a good guy. Talk to him and see who he might recommend in your area.

now i know that most of you guys are camaro/transam or vette people but from the 4l60e thats in my truck to the 4l60e thats in the cars are there any differences? ive spoken with a few 4x4 shops back east and they have told me that i cannot use a 4l60e from a 4x4 truck because the tailshaft section is different (for the transfer case) and its not as easy as swapping over the tailshaft section. is there any such issues with putting an fbody trans into my truck?

for fun...

If your truck is a 4x4 then yes you would still have to change the tail shaft
