Does the tranny have to come out of the car to do it ?

 

no the tranny stays on the car. Just drain the fluid and removed the pan and if you can get help it wont hurt and make sure you follow the instuction. It's not brain surgury, but not easy either if doing on the floor it's messy expect trans fluid running down your arm to your chest. Good luck and take your time and double check everything.
