th350 for LS1

th350 for LS1 I am looking to put a th350 in my ls1 camaro........ how well do they bolt up???? Can you use a stock driveshaft or do you have to make one.... What kind of rpms do they turn on the highway in 3rd with 410 gears????? Do I have to buy a special convertor or can i just use any one for a 350 turbo?????

They bolt up using 5 of the 6 bolt holes. You can use the stock DS with a long tail transmission. I have 4.11s and I'm turning about 3200-3300 at 55 mph. You can use any TH350 converter if you run the pilot bearing spacer or you can have one built with a longer snout on it

where do you get the pilot bearing spacer? also what do you have to buy for the speedo to work? will it throw any trans codes and have the computer go crazy? can you use the stock crossmember?

Check this link and put in your tire size, 3.73 for the gear ratio, enter 7000 for redline, for first gear put in 2.52, second gear 1.52 and 1.00 for third. Then hit Caculate. That will tell you the MPH at a given RPM

I had bad experience with my th350. I cracked the case and just decided to step up to the th400 which has been holding up very well. Not to say that I didn't have a bad case around it in the first place. Eventually i'm going to take out the internals and swap it into a new case since there are some really nice parts inside including a machined to fit th400 drum, good race clutches, rmvb and trans brake.
