Question 4L65E/4L60E and Gear Vendor OD unit?

Has anyone put a GV OD unit behind either the 4L60E or 4L65E?

the 4L60 already has an overdrive, why would you need to overdrive it even more? Unless you want an 8 speed auto.

I thought the gear vendor added 2 gears, that would make a 6 spd auto or is it 3 more gears now ?

Ya, It has 2 gears, 1.1 and an overdrive, so you could shift 1st, 1st overdrive, 2nd, 2nd overdrive, 3rd, 3rd overdrive, 4th, 4th overdrive. I dont know why anybody would need that tho.

that seems like you would be able to achieve some pretty nice RPM's at highway speed

It would definitely save some RPM's and $$$ on the highway. But I doubt it would ever pay for itself. Probably take like 10 years, even with the cost of fuel these days.
