Default First time to track with PT4400

I went first time to track with convertor. Still having some trans issues. 2-3 shift slips.

On 275/50/15 nitto's
1.71 60ft
92.35 1/8 mile mph
11.71 1/4 ET
114.95 mph

28/1050/15 ET Drags
1.58 60 ft
90.91 1/8 mile mph
11.65 1/4 ET
114.50 1/4 mph

Almost seems like the 28's are to big. I cut down the 60ft but didn't pick much ET. I still need to fix trans. I'm happy with the convertor.

Some specs on car.

28" are reducing your effective gear and probably slow you down a little on the big end. Try borrowing some smaller tires and see if that helps.

The 28's and 3.90 will work great with the new trans and the 100shot

lets get that thing rock'n

Nice gains. The TP4400 is a great converter I agree.

Once I get the trans fixed, I'm looking for a 11.50 pass on a slick.

Doesn't the TP4400 have too much shift extension to run a 100 shot? I'm asking because I ma changing to a TP series but was told the 4000 was better because the shift extension would be too high with the higher stall.

The car is set up for motor. I was maybe thinking of a small shot of nitrous. Probably won't do it this year.

I would get that tranny fixed now b/c it will turn into some major **** and then you will need to get your converter flushed and that will count as your free restall(I guess thats the way it works with yanks??). No body wants to have metal shavings in there converter so go ahead and spend some money on a transmission before you end up having to spend a lot in the end.

HI! what is your raceweight? Do you run skinnys on the front? what is your suspenion setup? I think your 60' needs some work. With the power you are putting down w/H/C and a high stall converter like that I would think you should be seeing lower 1.5's, but that is JMO :p

Raceweight is 3400 lbs. I run skinnies up front. Stock suspension car. I have hals up front with 50/50 drag shock in rear with moroso trick rear springs. No front swaybar. I was playing around with the launches with the covertor. The more I stalled the convertor the better it would 60ft. I think the car has more in it. My trans is slipping on the 2-3 shift. I might try to run my 26/1150/15 ET Streets to see if I can get some better mph. Hopefully myself and my Bro will have our cars at Thunder. Hope to see you there Camaro Cain
